Resource discovery - direct from your website

The Jorum team has been developing a set of embeddable widgets which will allow you to view and find relevant learning and teaching resources, and receive updates when new resources are added. The widgets will also enable you to share and promote your own institution’s resources – all directly from your own website, and with minimal technical effort. The widgets are supported by the Jorum team, and will be updated automatically, without the need for any upgrades as new features are developed.

A widget builder will give users the option to select the type of widget they would like. The widgets will include:

  • Search (listing resources from a particular search criteria)
  • User (listing resources uploaded by a particular user)
  • Collection (listing resources for a particular collection)
  • Dynamic collection (a drop down list of all collections. Choosing a collection will list the resources available).

This is currently being tested by a number of test groups to obtain feedback. If you are interested in participating in these tests, please contact support@jorum.ac.uk.

The Jorum team will also be demonstrating the widget at the JISC Conference in March:

Further updates and release dates will be available shortly.
