Event: Championing open educational resources – finding, creating, sharing

_________________________________________________________________________
Date: Thursday 3rd June 2010

Location: Jordanstown Campus, University of Ulster

This one-day event is aimed at any member of staff in Northern Ireland’s universities and colleges who is interested in the ideas and practice around sharing open educational resources (OER). Through a blend of presentations, demonstrations, discussion and hands-on elements, the event will familiarise participants with the benefits and issues around sharing resources openly – including ownership and copyright – and will update participants on national developments, such as searching and depositing in the new JorumOpen collection, providing participants with opportunities to interact with experts and practitioners.

If you already have resources that you would like to share openly, you are encouraged to bring these with you for deposit into JorumOpen on the day.

The event is kindly sponsored by the ICS Subject Centre, and is run jointly by the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Information & Computer Science, the Regional Support Centre Northern Ireland, and Jorum.

Booking now open, along with detailed programme and venue details.

We look forward to welcoming you to Jordanstown!
